Risography is an environmentally-friendly, energy-efficient printing method that yields gorgeous color and layering.

These are the inks we currently have, though we hope to continuously add more.

Need help formatting or separating your colors from a full-color file to be riso-ready? We recommend using Spectrolite. We’re also available to do it for you, for a flat fee of $10/print, $25/zine.

* starred inks are only available on 8.5”x11 or smaller. all other inks are available up to 11”x17.

Our Paper

Come check out our paper in-person! We have a variety of text-weight and cover-weight 8.5x11 and 11x17 paper in lovely textures and shades of creams, greens, purples, pinks, oranges, and more. All paper is responsibly sourced from French Paper Co, a paper mill in Michigan using 100% renewable electricity from their on-site hydroelectric plant.

You’re also welcome to bring your own paper, just know that it must be uncoated and no thicker than 80# cover-weight.

How to Print with Us

  • For those new to Riso or returning after an extended break, we require that you attend a Riso 101 workshop before printing with us. They take place twice a month at the shop and will give you all the basics you'll need for printing with us!

    If you want to learn but need a scholarship, please reach out via our booking form or Instagram, as we do have them available!

  • Make an appointment with us here. Typically a printing appointment takes about an hour. To see how much you can expect printing to cost, see below.

  • Print! Come in at your appointment time; we require masking in the shop but let us know if you have any other accessibility requirements and we will make sure the space is ready for you. :)

Pricing

* Risography is a stencil-based printing method, so our pricing is based on stencils, impressions, and paper. If you make an aesthetic choice that requires an extra stencil to be made, it will cost an additional $6/stencil.

We have paper from French Paper Co and Favini Crush in a variety of whites and creams, as well as some colored papers, and you’re welcome to come check out our current selection. We offer 8.5×11” paper at $0.20/sheet (30c for premium or 11”x17). Prices below include standard cover-stock paper.

You’re also welcome to bring your own uncoated, <220gsm paper if you’d like.
